Description:

Hydro-cyclone pump is used to pump abrasive solids such as sand and it will damage the pump. The output of the cyclone pump to drive the system is rather low at 20% – 30%. Subsequently, the application is recommended for cases in which energy costs are not significant, for instance when the pump is a small part of a large system. Cyclone pump is applied to the continuous pumping of sand-water mixtures for sand flume and river scale models with movable beds. Cyclone pumps can separate solids from the flow and are treated qualitatively.

Application:

1) In the oil industry separate oil from water or vice versa.
2) In metalworking to separate metal particles from cooling liquid.
3) To remove sand and silt particles from irrigation water for drip irrigation purposes.
4) In the drilling industry separate sand from the expensive clay that is used for lubrication during the drilling.
5) In pulp and paper mills remove sand, staples, plastic particles, and other contaminants.
